May 9, 2010 - There Is No More Important Job
God nurtures us with mothers’ love. Growth in life requires resources and good choices. God gives mothers and the mother church to provide those resources and nurture good choices. We receive such love with gratitude and rejoice to give in return knowing there is no more important job.

May 2, 2010 - A New Relationship?
God commands us to love. It is more an invitation, a gift of presence and inspiration we share amid change and loss. As Christ loved in ways old and familiar to us, we find the Way to build relationships ever anew, Truth about Love’s power, and Life to share until the end and beyond.

April 18, 2010 - An Eternal Home
God raises up life amidst death. We share all kinds of good times and bad, even death. The promise of God’s eternal love in Christ gives us perspective on the present and peace about our place in God’s eternal home. We feel inspired to share life together in the fullness of God’s love in our everyday homes.

April 11, 2010 - Buddy System
God gives us buddies in faith. It’s hard to swim through life when we’re scared, insecure, confused. God gives us a buddy system in the risen Christ. In baptism, the Spirit promises to keep us floating, calls us to learn to swim together in Christ, and sends us to buddy-up with others … far beyond our kin.

April 4, 2010 - Easter Sunday - A Witness for the Resurrection
God raises up Christ among us. As we face life endings, it can be hard to know what to say or do. Beyond all we can explain or even understand we recognize Christ among our life together. We go – we speak, we sing, we live, we witness – in the power of his love, with resurrection hope that his kingdom will come.

March 28, 2010 - The Triumph of Sacrifice
God’s way triumphs through sacrifice. Like Jesus’ parade we face powers that would take our life. We open ourselves to Jesus’ sacrificial love as the way of true life. As we empty ourselves in service to others more than self, God’s power of peace in us and God’s will for our world reigns triumphant even over death.
